Uploaded your face yet?

5 November 2009

Have you uploaded your photo for the new University ID card yet? If not, you need to do it by the end of this month.

The new University card – called the UCard – will be printed in December and distributed in early 2010. It is essential that every member of staff updates their University card image by the end of November.

If you haven’t already updated your image online, you can have your photograph taken at the Arts and Social Sciences Library on Tyndall Avenue, or at Langford. Full schedule details are available at www.bris.ac.uk/cardservices/phottimetable/. Having your photograph taken need only involve a few moments.

Your new UCard, as well as being essential in order to avoid getting locked out of virtually all University buildings, brings with it many advantages in terms of greater security, efficiency, and scope for future services and improvements. You won’t be issued a UCard unless you’ve provided a new photograph.

You can find details and background on the access control project on the UCard information page. You can also check out the project’s FAQ page.

If you have any other queries, please contact the project office at card-services@bristol.ac.uk.
