Bristol University is awarding honorary degrees to Mr Alastair Stewart and The Right Honourable The Lord Hunt of Wirral at today’s degree ceremonies in the Wills Memorial Building [Wednesday 20 February].

Bristol University is awarding honorary degrees to Mr Alastair Stewart and The Right Honourable The Lord Hunt of Wirral at today’s degree ceremonies in the Wills Memorial Building [Wednesday 20 February].

Mr Alastair Stewart, OBE, newscaster ITV News, will be honoured with the degree of Doctor of Laws at the 11.15 am ceremony.

The Right Honourable The Lord Hunt of Wirral, MBE, Partner, Beachcroft LLP; President, Chartered Insurance Institute; Chairman, English Speaking Union, will be honoured with the degree of Doctor of Laws at the 2.30 pm ceremony.

An Honorary Degree is a major accolade, awarded in recognition of outstanding achievement and distinction in a field or activity consonant with the University’s mission.
