LTSS January workshops for staff

A summary of January workshops for staff, run by LTSS, to encourage the use of technology in learning, teaching and research at Bristol.

The Learning and Teaching Support Service (LTSS) offers a programme of workshops throughout the year to University staff, as part of its aim to encourage, enable and evaluate the use of technology in learning, teaching and research at Bristol.

The following workshops are coming up in January:

Finding resources on the internet for learning, teaching and research (LT1FRI)
This workshop aims to introduce some of the information resources freely available over the internet for the academic community. It will introduce some key national internet services and search tools, to find resources such as: online newspapers and books, electronic journals, scholarly email discussion groups, organisational websites, online teaching resources, images and databases accessible over the web.

Introduction to Blackboard
This workshop is intended for staff wishing to take advantage of the administrative, instructional and assessment facilities available in Blackboard. The workshop introduces Blackboard, the University-supported Virtual Learning Environment, and gives participants hands-on experience of reviewing, planning and populating an online course.

Further developing your Blackboard skills
This course is for staff who are already familiar with the Blackboard Virtual Learning Environment and wish to develop their skills and use further. The session will respond to the needs of the participants and will involve using some of Blackboard's more advanced features.
