Gender equality: have your say

4 December 2006

The University invites all staff and students to complete a short online questionnaire as part of its development of a Gender Equality Scheme.

A new law on gender equality will come into force on 6 April 2007. To comply with this, the University must actively promote equality between men and women and take steps wherever possible to eliminate unlawful harassment. We must develop a Gender Equality Scheme identifying priority areas for activity. This includes an action plan setting out the steps the University will take to address any inequalities over the next three years.

As we develop the Scheme, we would like to invite staff and students to complete a short online questionnaire so that your views can be taken into consideration. Your feedback will be extremely valuable in helping us to identify and prioritise areas for inclusion in our Gender Equality Scheme.

You can find the questionnaire at www.survey.bris.ac.uk/secretary/gender.
