Afro-Asian Networks Visualised

Bringing together historians and a digital technologist to develop a database that maps vibrant, transnational networks of Asian and African activists, intellectuals and artists in the 1950s and 1960s

Historians Su Lin Lewis (University of Bristol) and Rachel Leow (Cambridge University) came together with Tarim, a digital technologist to develop a database that maps the vibrant, transnational networks of activists, intellectuals, and artists moving between Africa and Asia in the 1950s and 1960s. This historical data has been contributed by a wider collaborative research network of historians, literary scholars, philosophers and political scientists.

You can read more on the Afro-Asian Networks website and on the Afro-Asian Visions Blog

The Afro-Asian Networks Visualised project builds on research gathered by a group of scholars in these collaborations.
