Wearable technologies

Wearable technologies are worn robotic devices which can assist with various daily activities in human life, ranging from smart communicating devices which interact with human skin to assistive clothing for mobility improvement or fall protection.

Bristol SoftLab has been working in this wearable robotic field for over decade to create a future soft smart suit which resembles the normal everyday clothing. It can modify itself to fit with human body and provide a boost in mobility.

Our research goal is to produce wearable devices to deliver assistance and rehabilitation for elder people and patients with mobile disabilities in order to restore their body motions and maintain their independence.
