Roman account

An account of the Roman antiquities discovered at Woodchester (1797) is a magnificent study of the newly-discovered villa and mosaic by Samuel Lysons - a Gloucestershire antiquary of note. The account contains delightful panoramas of the site, in addition to detailed studies such as this drawing of part of the Orpheus mosaic.
