Potted horse kidneys

The Pre-Clinical Veterinary School on Southwell Street boasts a collection of some 500 anatomical specimens housed in its on-site Museum. Many of the specimens are moved regularly to the dissection room to augment cadaveric practical teaching and exams and then returned to the Museum where they are used as private study aids. This image shows a pot of a pair of horse kidneys with ureters and major blood vessels. All the specimen pots are accompanied by annotated line drawings describing major anatomical features.
