Staff in Campus Operations help to manage and maintain the University. We provide 24/7 care for students, staff and the campus, while minding our environmental impact.
What we do
Our department is made up of hundreds of the University's critical workers who carry out thousands of tasks every day, 365 days a year. Our work includes:
- cleaning, securing and maintaining every corner of the University campus;
- managing and maintaining the student residential campus;
- feeding our staff and students with sustainably sourced food;
- supporting conference, venue and events requirements;
- maintaining the public realm and managing the Botanic Gardens;
- managing the print, post and document services for the University.

External Estates
External Estates are involved in almost every aspect of the natural and physical external environment of the University grounds. Through our Gardens and Grounds, the Botanic Garden and Fenswood Farm, we work to provide green infrastructure, public art, educational facilities, surveys, and engaging spaces.

Facilities Management comprises of a number of operational teams. We provide a range of services to the University, ensuring that our staff and student community are kept safe and feel welcome.
