Campus Property

Our Campus Property team is responsible for the management of a diverse and dynamic property portfolio.

What we do

The Property team is responsible for a wide range of services, including:

  • finding new properties for the University to meet a demand for space that cannot be met within the existing portfolio;
  • disposing of a property which is poorly utilised, uneconomical, or no longer meets the strategic needs of the University;
  • managing the University’s lease renewals, rent reviews and break options;
  • managing any other landlord and tenant matters, such as consent for making alterations, undertaking repairs, service charge management, and payment of rent and other lease costs;
  • being involved throughout the life cycle of all the University’s asset portfolio and maintaining relationships with our internal and external stakeholders, our landlords, tenants and neighbours;
  • enabling better long-term estate property management through our knowledge of the portfolio, experience in the Bristol property market and accurate information on our estate;
  • working closely with the other teams within Campus Development - including Campus Planning, Capital Projects, and Sustainability - to deliver the University’s goals.
