Job Accounting

BrisSynBio uses Slurm for job submission and accounting. Every user is given access to a number of job submission accounts.

The accounts are:

  • S1.1 : Account for the BrisSynBio S1.1 project
  • S1.2 : Account for the BrisSynBio S1.2 project
  • S1.3 : Account for the BrisSynBio S1.3 project
  • S2.1 : Account for the BrisSynBio S2.1 project
  • S2.2 : Account for the BrisSynBio S2.2 project
  • S2.3 : Account for the BrisSynBio S2.3 project
  • S3.1 : Account for the BrisSynBio S3.1 project
  • S3.2 : Account for the BrisSynBio S3.2 project
  • S3.3 : Account for the BrisSynBio S3.3 project
  • T1 : Account for the BrisSynBio T1 project
  • T2 : Account for the BrisSynBio T2 project
  • T3 : Account for the BrisSynBio T3 project
  • other : Account for all other jobs (not BrisSynBio)
  • other_mvz : Account for all other Medical Research jobs (VAT-exempt research)

To submit a job, you must choose an account for the job. If you don't choose an account, then your job will automatically go to the "none" account, which means that it will not run (the job will be held with the error '(AssociationJobLimit)').

In general, you should use the relevant BrisSynBio project account for any BrisSynBio research, or use "other" for non-medical (not VAT-exempt) research, or "other_mvz" for Medical (VAT-exempt) research. If you are confused about which account to use, then please contact Christopher Woods.
