Health data: how to use it and when to share it?

6 May 2021

As part of our ongoing engagement project, Create to Collaborate, we’re setting up a workshop to prompt discussion amongst everyday people (like you and me) about health data: what to do with it, how to use it, and when to share it, for example. We want university researchers to get involved...

Creative collaborations

We’ve partnered with theatre and game makers Coney to deliver an interactive online workshop. It will be an opportunity to delve into the topic of health data, play some games, have fun, and start teasing out those ethical conundrums.

University researchers: why get involved?

If your work touches on any aspects of health data, or if you’re just interested in the topic, you can get involved.

  • Get more experience in public engagement: you might enjoy it
  • Build connections: meet members of the public, and other university researchers, who’re interested in the same topic as you.
  • Follow up on new ideas: we’ve put aside some seed funding to encourage conversations to continue.
  • Give back to research! Create to Collaborate is a research project testing how we do good public engagement. By taking part, you’ll be contributing to our growing body of data.

Get in touch

  1. We have up to five places for university researchers to join the workshop as participants.
  2. We want to hear from you: what questions about health data should we be asking?

The workshop will take place in mid-June; we’ll confirm the data asap.

To register your interest to take part, and send ideas and questions, email Jo Stubbs.
