Registration open: Pan and the Anthropocene

4 July 2023

Registration is now open for a hybrid symposium on ‘Pan and the Anthropocene’, taking place online and in-person at the University of Bristol on Thursday 20th July 2023.

The event, which is free to attend, is sponsored by the IGRCT, and aims to explore the role of the goat-legged ancient Greek deity Pan in the twenty-first century. Contributors will speak on what it means to look backwards to antiquity in a time of ecological emergency and what we can learn from the classical past in this most contemporary crisis.

The event will run in hybrid format. To sign up for online or in-person attendance and to view the draft programme, visit the event page.

Please direct any enquiries to Dr Billie Gavurin: bg13358@bristol.ac.uk.
