Arts PGR Summer Conference
Clifton Hill House
We are delighted to announce the PGR Summer Arts Conference to be held on Friday 5 July 2024.
The theme for this year's conference is Frontiers and Liminal Spaces. We invite delegates to explore the ideas of political and socio-economic frontiers, spatial and temporal borders, ambiguity and thresholds, and the transitions and heterogenous nature of liminal identities.
The conference is open to all PGRs in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Bristol, as well as PGRs working in the disciplines of arts and humanities across London, Wales and the South-West.
The conference will be held at Clifton Hill House and the main event will run from 9.30-5pm. Tea, coffee, pastries, snacks and lunch will be provided. This will be followed by a drinks reception, from 5pm-7pm.
Possible topics and sub-themes could include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Violence 'of' and 'on' the frontier
- Borders, identity and imagined frontiers
