International Survey on the Welfare, Health and Wellbeing of University Academics and Students

Press release issued: 3 July 2020

The COVID-19 crisis is having a profound effect on the welfare, health and wellbeing of academics and students around the world. In response, the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) is funding a global study focused on the continuing challenges posed by the global crisis on the working lives of academics and students. The study involves an international team of researchers from Australia, India, Ireland, South Africa and New Zealand led by Professor Richard Watermeyer at the University of Bristol. The study comprises a survey designed to capture the perspectives of academics everywhere and from every academic discipline and type of university. Of special interest are the experiences of doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers, those at the early stage of their academic careers, underrepresented groups, and academics whose employment is insecure. Please help by responding to this short-survey available here (closing date: 17th July 2020):
