Alice Milne

Alice Milne is a qualitative researcher in the Academic Respiratory Unit (ARU) and delivers the qualitative elements of numerous, multi-centre pleural research trials. She is committed to successfully embedding high-quality, targeted qualitative enquiry within clinical trials, as well as developing standalone exploratory qualitative studies to inform future research. Through this, the views and experiences of patients are kept at the heart of respiratory research.

She is part of a strong community of qualitative academics at the University of Bristol and is a member of the ‘Excellence in qualitative research in trials’ (Equate) group. She also leads patient and public engagement in research for the ARU, ensuring that the research development process is informed by patients and carer’s insight throughout.
