We are at the forefront of digital innovation and research in respiratory medicine, working with the world leading UoB Digital Health Engineering group which applies computer science and electronic technologies to health and wellbeing challenges.

The digital health engineering group includes an EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Digital Health and Care and is funded by~£25M of grants since 2013 from EPSRC, MRC and H2020.

There are active projects to develop 3D time-of-flight cameras to remotely monitor respiratory function and multi centre interdisciplinary work on (app implementation / exacerbation predictive modelling) in conjunction with one of the NHS’s leading digital tech company My MHealth  https://mymhealth.com/​​
