Bristol Big Give
Bristol Big Give is an annual campaign organised by the Bristol Student Community Partnership* to enable charity donations of reusable goods across the city during the end of summer term, targeting 40,000 students. Donations are collected by and directly support our partner charity, the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Students can access British Heart Foundation donation boxes around the local area, at University Halls and central donation points such as:
-
The Richmond Building
-
Senate House Marketplace
-
Biomedical Sciences Building
In 2023, University of Bristol collected 3469 bags, amounting to 27.75 tonnes. That equates to £48,556 in revenue for the British Heart Foundation. Donations included unwanted clothes, books and electrical goods.
*This annual campaign is organised by the University of Bristol, University of Bristol Students' Union, the University of West England (UWE), the University of the West of England Students' Union (UWESU), and the British Heart Foundation.
