Visitors with disabilities

We are keen to ensure you enjoy your open day. Please give us as much notice as possible to assess and arrange provision where required.

Before the open day

If you need support to attend any open day activities, please complete the appropriate section on the booking form when you book your place.

If necessary, we will contact you to discuss how we can support you. Although we cannot guarantee any particular support arrangements, especially if we are told at short notice, we will try to meet your needs.

The University has teamed up with AccessAble to provide detailed information about the accessibility of our facilities. Take a look at the access guides available for some of our buildings.

You will recieve an A4 printed version of the map on the day to help navigate our campus. If you would prefer to view the map online, you can download a version of the open day campus map (PDF, 9,776kB).

Parking spaces

Please let us know on the booking form if you or any of your party have restricted mobility and would find a disabled parking space on campus helpful.

We will contact you to arrange a parking permit, which you will need to access these parking spaces.

Our main accessible parking area is on Priory Road, which is available all day for all permit holders. We also have limited short stay (less than one hour) accessible parking at the rear of the Richmond Building (map reference 80) available on a first come first served basis for permit holders.

If you make your booking in the week leading up to the open day, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to provide you with support or a parking permit. Due to the short notice, we will only contact you if we can provide you with the support requested.

On the day

The University's Disability Services will be exhibiting as part of the open day exhibition. Staff will be available to answer your questions and provide information about the support available for students at Bristol.

Please speak to a steward (in a red T-shirt) if you need assistance getting around our campus. For example, we can provide a taxi for you to travel longer distances if this is helpful.

If you wish to view student accommodation, Badock Hall in North Village (Stoke Bishop) will have an accessible room open to view.
