Open day attendees travelling on select Great Western Railway (GWR) services are eligible for 20% off Advance Purchase tickets.

A code will be provided shortly which you can use to redeem the discount on your booking.

This discount is available on fares on the day of your open day and 7 working days before and after. These set times and dates of travel are non-exchangeable and non-refundable and please note that Advance Purchase tickets are not always available for short distance journeys. The origin of your journey must be within the GWR network and your destination must be Bristol. Tickets must be purchased by 6pm the day before travel.

Anyone purchasing the tickets will need proof of event attendance to show a ticket inspector when requested. This discount can be combined with the 16-25 railcard.

National Express are offering open day attendees 30% off coach travel from any location to Bristol Bus and Coach Station.

This discount is only valid for visitors travelling to an open day at the University of Bristol between 11 June and 14 June 2026. Bookings must be made at least 3 days prior to departure and are redeemable from any location to Bristol Bus and Coach Station. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, including Coachcards, and cannot be used on third-party services.
