Erasmus+ and Study Abroad

Student mobility is an important part of our University strategy, and we are committed to providing opportunities for Bristol students to broaden their university experience by going abroad.

Following Brexit, the UK will no longer be a part of the Erasmus+ scheme. But, UK universities can continue to take part in the programme until its end date in July 2022. This means Students nominated for an Erasmus+ study or work placement in the 2021/22 academic year can complete their placement and receive a grant.

The UK government is launching the Turing scheme, providing £100 million in funding for 35,000 students across the UK to go on placements abroad from September 2021. We will publish more details here when they are available.

We will continue to offer a range of opportunities for students to study, work and volunteer abroad.

Email the outgoing Global Opportunities team at go-abroad@bristol.ac.uk with any queries about going abroad during your degree.
