B3: Find the right culture fit

Introduction

Workplace culture is hugely important to consider when making career choices. A job in one organisation could feel hugely different to an identical role in a different organisation. Sometimes simply moving to the same role in a different sector or type of organisation can be enough to help you feel fulfilled in your career.

To understand the culture fit that best suits you it is worth thinking about what you like or don’t like from your current organisation, and then investigating different types of workplace culture and typical organisations that exhibit those characteristics.

It is also worth having some questions ready for potential future employers so that you can research their culture and make sure you are finding the right fit.
