Ideas Briefings

The Getting Things Changed team have produced a series of 'ideas briefings' to help us think about various aspects of the project and how the project can help in getting things changed.

The first briefing asks the question 'How do disabled people become disadvantaged by the way things are ‘normally’ done, and what will help things to change?'

The second briefing looks at the groups of disabled people that may need support or care services and asks the question 'How can the interactions with those personnel best be managed, so that the disabled person is in control?

The third briefing is concerned with co-production and asked the question 'Disabled people have often had things done for them, in relationships where they have no power. How can we challenge this type of power imbalance?'

The fouth briefing asks the question 'How can we best understand the barriers which disabled people still face in the UK today?'
