Bristol Latin Americanist wins prestigious Tibesar Prize

Dr Caroline Williams has been awarded the prestigious Tibesar Prize for 2013-14 by the Conference on Latin American History (CLAH). The prize is awarded for the article appearing in the preceding year of issues published by the US journal The Americas “which best combines distinguished scholarship, original research and/or thought, and grace of writing style”. The 2013-14 prize was awarded for her article “Living Between Empires: Diplomacy and Politics in the Late-Eighteenth Century Mosquitia,” The Americas 70:2 (October 2013), 237-268.
