The Bristol Hub for Gambling Harms Research are delighted to formally announce our upcoming Colloquium. This one-day conference will showcase gambling harms research and enable rich networking.  The theme is 'International Challenges in Gambling Harms Research', with keynote and panel sessions from research experts, lived experience representatives, government bodies, political commentators and regulators from around the world. We invite all participants to discuss ways of tackling gambling harms across disciplinary, practice and international boundaries.

The event will be held at The Bristol Hotel and Conference Centre, located on the harbourside in Bristol, a short walk from the city centre and Bristol Temple Meads train station.

Who should attend?

We cordially invite all those with an interest in gambling harms research: researchers from all disciplines, all methodologies and from all career stages; those with lived experience of gambling harms; regulators; treatment providers; and gambling harms charities.

Ara Recovery4all will provide in-person support, advice and information for those attending the event. They will also be able to facilitate referrals for those living in the South West and Wales needing more structured interventions or help to access support from the National Gambling Support Network outside of these regions for those directly or indirectly impacted by gambling related harms.

Poster Abstract Submission

A poster session will be an integral part of the Colloquium and an opportunity for attendees to present and discuss their work with other delegates through informal networking.

Up to 20 posters will be selected and displayed on posterboards (2m x 1m) for viewing and discussion during breaks and an extended lunch session.

If you would like to submit an abstract for our poster session, please do so via this link, which gives further information on the scope and process for submission.

Abstract submission is open now and will close on Thursday 25th July 2024.
