Deferral package

Bristol is a popular university, and many outstanding applicants like you have chosen us this year. This means that in September, some courses may have more students than normal.

While many courses can expand to take in additional students, to ensure that we can accommodate everyone in a way that maintains our high-quality education and student experience, we are offering a special deferral package for new students on selected courses who defer studies until September 2022.

What's included in the deferral package?

Your place on your course will remain secure, along with:

  • A rent rebate of up to £7,000 in University owned and allocated halls;
  • A bursary of £3,600 (paid in three instalments) to support you in your first year of study;
  • A guaranteed place in University accommodation in 2022;
  • Access to our flagship Bristol Futures online learning units;
  • ‘Keep in touch’ group events during the upcoming year to help you prepare for life in Bristol.
