How to Apply
FIND-CDT Application Process
Step 1. Submit Application
In order for us to assess your suitability and eligibility, please attach a CV with full details of all exams and work experience to: find-cdt@bristol.ac.uk. We encourage you to let us know which area of research you are interested in.
Please feel free to contact the Centre Director, Professor Bruce Drinkwater at b.drinkwater@bristol.ac.uk if you have any questions – we are happy to discuss any aspect in more detail.
Step 2. Discuss
Once we receive your application and if you meet the entry requirements (see below) we will contact you to arrange a preliminary discussion about the CDT and the available projects, universities and sponsoring companies. At the end of this discussion, suitable candidates will be linked to a particular university, project and industrial sponsor based on their research preferences.
Step 3. Interview
Shortlisted applicants are then invited for academic and industrial interviews. At these interviews, your engineering and scientific knowledge, understanding, and ability to discuss and solve problems will be explored in depth.
Step 4. Registration
If your application and interview has been successful, you will be required to register with the university you have been matched with.
