Luke Somerwill is shortlisted for the Jonathan Sime Award 2016

Previous Undergraduate student, Luke Somerwill, is shortlisted for the Jonathan Sime Award 2016.

Luke Somerwill, who graduated this summer, has been shortlisted for the annual Jonathan Sime Awards. This prestigious annual award is given to an undergraduate dissertation which is deemed to have made a significant contribution to the field of people-environment research. 

Luke's disertation was titled 'Wishful thinking influences the prediction of climate change (evidence for the underestimation of the severity of climate change relative to expert opinion)'. 

The Jonathan Sime Dissertation Award is given in memory of Jonathan Sime who died suddenly in January 2001, aged just 50. The award is funded by a friend of Jonathan from his teenage years.
