The University has a range of facilities that provide help with various aspects of adapting to a life in a new country, as well as the beginning of the university life in general. I am very grateful to Resilife, a support service for students staying in halls, which offers help not only with accommodation-related issues, but also one's mental health and wellbeing. The peer mentoring scheme introduced by the University also provides great support to new students.
I was drawn to a very scientific nature of the Psychology degree, as well as its emphasis on research. The University also offers an Open Unit in the first year for most of its degrees, and I was really inspired by the option given for most science degrees.

University of Bristol is the perfect combination of prestigious and welcoming, much like the city itself. Being a student here has lead me to have experiences I could have never imagined, opened me up to opportunities I would otherwise never have, and changed my perception of what it is to be educated for the better. Behind the success of UOB are the people - and they are unforgettable.

I definitely enjoy the teaching methods. We get hands-on experience through participation in experiments. It's a great opportunity for us to understand how psychology works in the real world and gives us insight about research in the field. I am also very excited about the optional units I get to pick in my third year, many of which will be taught by leading psychologists!
I was president of PsychSoc last year. The thing I enjoyed most was definitely meeting new people and extending my social circle. But, as a committee member, the most rewarding thing was creating events for students and seeing them having a good time!

For me, life as a Bristol student means the people around me. From my friends to my personal tutor to older students I have met, I have been made to feel like I belong and I am valued. I’m proud to have the opportunity to live up to this example.
