Bristol Poverty Institute Interdisciplinary Seminar Series: Gambling and Poverty

On Wednesday 11th November, the Bristol Poverty Institute held an online interdisciplinary seminar entitled Gambling and Poverty.

Featured speakers included:

  • Alan Emond (ALSPAC Gambling Study, Population Health Sciences)
  • Jamie Evans (Personal Finance Research Centre, Geographical Sciences)
  • Agnes Nairn (Professor of Marketing, School of Management) 

You will also hear from Amy Sweet, a Research Manager at independent grant-making charity GambleAware. This was followed by a facilitated discussion, chaired by Dr Lauren Winch, BPI Manager.

This seminar was part of the BPI’s interdisciplinary seminar series which focus on broad themes relevant to poverty research and which can be explored from a variety of different perspectives.
