Food Justice Workshop: Connecting Research & Communities (Part of Food Justice Fortnight)

4 July 2024, 2.00 AM - 4 July 2024, 4.30 PM

Room 3.31 School of Education, BS8 1JA

Join us for the The Food Justice Workshop, a dynamic event co-hosted by Feeding Bristol and the University of Bristol’s Bristol Poverty Institute (BPI), Bristol Researchers Food Justice Network, and Cabot Institute for the Environment. This gathering is designed to bridge the gap between researchers and community groups working towards Food Justice in Bristol, to foster collaboration and drive meaningful change in the city.

This event will bring together researchers and community representatives dedicated to food justice in order to explore opportunities for partnership and coproduction. Participants will discuss how we can work together to meet community needs and share best practice. The event offers a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the food inequality landscape in the city, ensuring that research initiatives are aligned with the real-world needs of Bristol’s communities.

On July 4th, participants will engage in insightful discussions, interactive activities, and networking opportunities, creating a vibrant space for knowledge exchange and action. Book a space to be part of a transformative movement towards food justice in Bristol.

About Food Justice Fortnight

Food Justice Fortnight is a series of events hosted by Feeding Bristol and our partner organisations. Workshops, skill-shares, discussions, activities and many shared meals take place across the city so we can:

  • celebrate communities and platform the work happening to achieve Food Justice in Bristol
  • make space for important conversations about Food Justice
  • connect individuals, organisations, and communities to help build the city’s food resilience

Food Justice Fortnight 2024 starts on June 23rd with the theme ‘Sharing our Food Stories’. This will highlight the way food can nurture a sense of identity while bringing us closer together through the power of storytelling. For more information, visit www.feedingbristol.org
