• Guobing Lu was a member of the group between 2002 and 2012, when he “retired”, after working primarily on mixed treatment comparisons.  His maths skills have been a formidable asset for the group. In 2013 the University of Bristol awarded him a PhD by publication. He remains an active researcher, living once again in his hometown of Nanjing.
• Aicha Goubar joined the group in 2003 for 3 years, funded through the MRC-DoH Committee for Epidemiological Studies of AIDS (CESA). She developed Bayesian evidence synthesis methods to create a model of HIV prevalence epidemiology in England and Wales. These methods are now used routinely to generate Department of Health statistics on the prevalence of HIV in the UK. Since leaving Bristol Aicha has worked with INSERM at the Institut Gustave-Roussy
• Malcolm Price joined the group in 2005 and did a PhD on synthesis methods to inform the parameters of Markov disease progression models. He then worked with Tony on an evidence synthesis approach to the prevalence and natural history of Chlamydia trachomatis infection. In 2012 took up a Research Fellowship in Birmingham, where is now a Senior Lecturer.
• Jason Madan joined the group in 2009 to work on EVI methods and applications in the MRC ConDuCT Hub for Trial Methodology Research in Bristol. He left in 2012 to take up an Assistant Professorship in Warwick.
• Mousumi Biswas is an economic modeler with a clinical background. She joined the group in 2013 to work with Tony on the DISCOVERY cancer project. She is now working at the York Centre for Reviews and Dissemination.
• Peter Bryden is a health economics modeler with experience in working on health technology assessments submitted to NICE.  Peter worked on several applications including interventions for children exposed to domestic violence, secondary prevention and treatment for VTE. He now works for Roche in Basel.
