PolicyBristol joins University of Cambridge’s CSaP Affiliate Network for Policy Fellowships
1 August 2018
PolicyBristol is excited to have become part of a prestigious network hosted by the Centre for Science and Policy (CSaP) at Cambridge University.
The CSaP Affiliate Network extends the benefits of the highly successful CSaP Policy Fellowships Programme to other universities, and enhances CSaP Policy Fellows’ access to world leading researchers throughout the UK.
This new partnership will enable University of Bristol researchers to engage with CSaP’s network of almost 300 Policy Fellows from the third sector, industry and government. At the same time, CSaP Fellows will be able to access to some of the latest thinking and expertise within the University, through a tailored programme of meetings and activities here in Bristol.
PolicyBristol joins a select group of partners including the Mile End Institute at Queen Mary University of London, Public Policy Southampton and the Policy Institute at King’s College London to form part of this new network which launched in December 2015.
The Centre for Science and Policy’s mission is to improve the use of expertise and evidence in public policy, delivered through a unique network of academics and policy makers. CSaP’s distinctive approach is based on addressing the questions which policy makers identify, and on building relationships characterised by mutual understanding, respect and trust.
PolicyBristol is committed to enhancing the influence and impact of research on policy and practice, and joining the network will complement our efforts to extend the reach of world-class research from the University of Bristol.
In our first year of membership, we will be looking to host three Policy Fellows. The first fellow will be announced in early Autumn, along with details of his/her area(s) of interest.
