MSc Scientific Computing with Data Science
This MSc programme is aimed at recent science graduates who want to learn more about modern programming languages, data science and machine learning algorithms. On this course you will learn software engineering concepts and the principles of scientific computing and data science. The School of Physics is offering a portfolio of PhD Scholarships across all its world-class research groups. These prestigious Scholarships represent a great opportunity to start your Postgraduate Research Career working with world-class academics in a supportive training and development environment. Physics at Bristol was ranked 5thfor Research in the 2022 Research Excellence Framework (REF) results, and the University of Bristol is truly world-leading: 61stin the QS World University Ranking and 76thin the Times Higher Ranking. For home students, the scholarships will cover living expenses (UKRI rate),University tuition fees, and training and support expenses of £2k per year. We also welcome applications from outstanding international candidates: we are able to offer a very small number of fully-funded places, but also accept students who can provide full or partial funding from other sources.

CDT Artificial Intelligence
We are a partner in a UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Advanced Computing. This 4 year programme focuses on the application of machine learning techniques to research projects in particle physics or astrophysics and includes a 6 month industrial placement with a partner organisation in the commercial, industrial or public sector.
