Biography
Sophie Ross-Smith joined the Cabot Institute for the Environment in March 2021 as the Institutes Manager. Prior to joining Cabot, Sophie worked as a Strategic Partnership Manager based in the Research and Enterprise Division (RED), where she developed and managed the relationships with several of our key university partnerships. She worked at the interface between our university and partners, nurturing purposeful engagement to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes. Prior to joining RED in 2019, Sophie worked within the Industrial Liasion Office for the High Performance Networks Group. She is an experienced Project Manager, skilled in the delivery and development of large scale collaborative R&D projects, with a focus on digital innovation. She has also managed the relationship with a joint venture company (Bristol Is Open), where she was responsible for developing the University of Bristol’s research engagement with a city-wide digital experimentation platform.
