Research interests
- D Ed Psy - Q methodology to explore what influences an EPs selection of assessment tool. How an EP selects a tool is a poorly understood phenomena despite assessment being central to the profession. Forming the statements for the Q sort, informed by literature, personal experience and transcribed discussions with EPs, allowed participants to compare, contrast and order their thinking on the continuum of ‘does not influence my choice’ to ‘greatly influences my choice’ of assessment tool when working individually with a child.
- MEd - Interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) to explore young people’s experiences of a social, emotional and mental health intervention in a secondary setting.
- Use of quantitative methods during work as a research psychologist in the Department of Psychological Medicine, Heath Hospital, Cardiff .
