Research interests
A law and technology expert with a strong background in private law and philosophy, working at the intersection of law and computer science.
Václav is the Programme Director of the University of Bristol Law School's LLM in Law, Innovation and Technology. Outside Bristol, he is an Associate Member of the Oxford University's Department of Computer Science and co-directs the Oxford LawTech Education Programme.
In 2025/26 academic year, Václav is on a sabbatical leave and holds the Leverhulme International Fellowship to conduct research at the Institute of Legal Informatics and Judicial Studies in Florence (IGSG-CNR), Italy.
