Research interests
My research objectives are to understand the mechanisms underlying the intergenerational transmission of mental health and to translate this into preventative interventions. In order to investigate this area I take a multidisciplinary approach combining detailed neuro-psychological and developmental investigations with large scale epidemiological studies and health care research. I am currently leading an ERC funded program of work in this area including partnerships in South Africa and Brazil.
