Research interests
My research focuses on the industry of football financialization and its impact on corporate behavior, inequality, and fan interaction. Through extensive analysis of financial data, case studies, and interviews, I aim to shed light on the complex dynamics of football financialization and its implications for different stakeholders. Specifically, I explore how financialization affects the way football clubs are managed, how it contributes to the widening income gap between top clubs and smaller clubs, and how it impacts fan experience and engagement.
To study this phenomenom, my current fieldwork delves into the various forms of resistance against processes of financialization led by supporters, industry workers and small shareholders.
My ultimate goal is to provide insights that can inform policy decisions and help promote a more sustainable and just football industry.
