Research interests
My research interests are in the general field of social inequality in global cities. I have contributed to debates on social polarisation, the post-Fordist geography of cities and the changing character of racial inequality. This entails the study of the changing occupational and earnings structure of employment and the changing nature of housing provision. In terms of methods, my research relies on documentary evidence, maps, in-depth interviews, my own questionnaire surveys and official statistics.
