Research interests
I am currently undertaking a PhD within the Bristol Medical School on infectious disease modelling. People who inject drugs (PWID) are at particular risk of acquiring blood-borne viruses, such as HIV, via the sharing of injecting equipment. In 2015, an HIV outbreak among PWID was detected in Glasgow. With a focus on this outbreak, my PhD involves developing mathematical models to understand the impact of various interventions on HIV transmission among PWID.
