Biography
Jonatan Sodergren teaches branding in Bristol, the home of Banksy, Long John Silver and the other buccaneers in Treasure Island. He has previously worked with PR in the music industry. He researches brands, aesthetics and popular culture.
Research interests
Jonatan Sodergren (PhD) studies brands from cultural perspectives, often through qualitative methods. He is the guest editor of two special issues - Marketing Insights from Popular Culture and Poetics of Consumption - and is currently working on multiple projects related to topics such as:
- The aesthetics of vegan advertising
- Brands and the culltural transformation of masculinity
- How consumption spaces such as music venues create common culture
