Research interests
The experimental discovery of novel halide energy conversion and storage materials, as well as the development of known materials. Materials are processed as crystals, thin films and powders, their structures solved via diffraction experiments, and their properties characterised towards a specific use. We aim to make disruptive, useful materials as a fresh approach to plateauing energy technologies as the main commercial materials for photovoltaics (Si), thermoelectrics (Bi2Te3), and ferroelectrics (PZT) are still based on materials reported in the 1950s.
