Research interests
I am interested in the role of friendly and fraternal societies in eighteenth and nineteenth century Europe. My latest research examines the material culture of Engllish Freemasonry and its imagery.
My current research also analyses the influence of early modern Emblem Books in the creation of Masonic symbolism and moral teachings in the eighteenth-century.
