Biography
Dr Dan Magnus is a Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine in the Children’s Emergency Department at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. He is also Director for the Global Health iBSc at the University of Bristol. Dan trained in Paediatrics and then Paediatric Emergency Medicine in Bristol and at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He also has an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Dan was Chair of the International Child Health Group for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and was a Research Associate with the University of Bristol on paediatric
injury prevention and treatment in Nepal with the Nepal Injury Research Centre. He is a Founding Trustee of the registered charity, Child.org, based in the UK and Kenya and remains involved with child health programmes in East Africa.
