Biography
Current Research Projects:
Understanding pongine phylogeny and evolutionary rates using dental metrics.
Analysing variability in dental sequence and mineralsation timing among great apes.
Assessing migrations barriers and their effects on ancient migration patterns using ancient DNA.
Research Interests:
I maintain an active interest in human and ape life history patterns. I am keen to broaden my work into understanding Pongo and Gorilla developmental patterning and applying that knowledge to understanding fossil hominins.
I am also interested in ancient genomics and applications for studying migration patterns, paleoepidemiology, and how environmental change in the past 10,000 years has affected allele frequencies for diseases that are common today.

Teaching
I teach Early Human Origins (Year 2, MSc Paleobiology Research), Forensic Anthropology (Year 3), and Primatology (Year 3) as a Unit Director. I also teach in co-taught units including Evolution and Human Behaviour (Year 2), Human Challenges (Year 3), and Evolution in Action (Year 1).
