Research interests
I am a Postdoctoral Senior Research Associate that has 10 years experience in the field of type 1 diabetes and related autoimmunity. I completed by PhD at the University of Bristol in December 2021 that aimed to understand the natural history of a major humoral response in type 1 diabetes.
My postdoctoral research primarily focuses on utilising islet autoantibodies and other biomarkers to predict, classify, and understand autoimmunity in type 1 diabetes and related autoimmunity. I am enthusiastic and passionate about research focused at improving health and lifestyle outcomes. Improved biomarkers could help to identify individuals for trials aimed at preserving beta-cell function and reducing diabetes complications in the future.
