Research interests
Chris Jones is a Professor in the School of Geographical Sciences and a Research Fellow at the Met Office Hadley Centre.
He has 30 years experience as a Climate Scientist, and his interests focus on interactions between climate and the natural carbon cycle, and how this informs international climate mitigation policy.
He has been a regular contributor to the IPCC as contributing and lead author, and recently part of the Core Writing Team for the 2023 IPCC AR6 Synthesis Report. He is a Highly Cited researcher on Web of Science: https://www.webofscience.com/wos/author/record/27729
