Biography
I studied for my BSc in Forensic Chemistry at the University of the West of England (UWE), graduating in 2011.
My first graduate position was in a Quality control laboratory for a composite electroplating company in the West of England. I used atomic absorption (AA) and colorimetry, as well as other traditional wet chemistry techniques, to analyse coatings on tab samples and composition of plating electrolytes.
Prior to starting my role in the OGU in 2019 I worked as a Site Chemist for a hazardous chemical waste company; sampling and testing the suitability of incoming waste chemicals for processing and ensuring compliance with legislation.
I have previously held a position at University of Bristol as a lab technician in ChemLabS Undergraduate Teaching Laboratories.
