Biography
I am a Lecturer in Aeroacoustics at the University of Bristol. I am currently leading development of multi-fidelity numerical simulation, design optimization and machine learning capabilities in the Aerodynamics and Aeroacoustics Research Group. Prior to joining Bristol, I performed postdoctoral research in the Scientific Computing group at the Kaiserslautern University of Technology and the Aeroacoustics Branch of NASA Langley Research Center, hosted by the National Institute of Aerospace. My postdoctoral work focused on adjoint-based broadband noise minimization and data-driven turbulence modelling. I obtained my PhD (Dr.-Ing.) from the RWTH Aachen University for my work on adjoint-based optimization for airframe noise reduction.
Research interests
- Adjoint-based aerodynamic and aeroacoustic optimization and control
- Multi-fidelity numerical simulation and optimization methodologies supported by data-driven methods
- Mid-fidelity solver to capture impingement and scattering effects of rotor-airframe interaction
